ScriptSafe Accreditation is a verification program designed specifically for legitimate, licensed pharmacies that accept credit card payments online or over the phone. Our process confirms pharmacy credentials, licensing, and operational integrity so acquiring banks and processors can confidently onboard trusted merchants, without the lengthy delays or unnecessary requirements found in traditional programs.

Unlike other accreditation programs, ScriptSafe focuses exclusively on payment compliance, not digital advertising or pharmaceutical distribution. Our model is purpose-built for independent pharmacies that want to accept card-not-present payments without navigating unnecessary red tape.

Most accreditations are completed in 7–10 business days. Applications are reviewed within 2–3 business days of submission, and most pharmacies receive approval within two weeks if documentation is complete. Delays are rare and typically caused by missing or incomplete information.

Once accredited, your pharmacy receives official documentation, including a ScriptSafe Accreditation Certificate and a compliance package that can be provided to your processor or acquirer. Accreditation includes continuous monitoring to ensure ongoing compliance.

Pharmacies that accept online, over-the-phone, or key-entered credit card payments must be accredited by a qualified third-party. ScriptSafe accreditation is designed for pharmacies with a physical retail location that do not advertise prescription products online.

ScriptSafe is in the process of being reviewed and adopted by acquiring banks and merchant processors. If a processor requires accreditation from another provider, ScriptSafe will refund pharmacies in full. We are committed to making accreditation accessible and processor-friendly.

Our accreditation is for independent and community pharmacies with a physical retail location. ScriptSafe does not yet provide advertising platform certification. Pharmacies that require Google Ads or Meta approval should currently pursue LegitScript or NABP in addition to or instead of ScriptSafe.

ScriptSafe continuously reviews domain ownership, license status, enforcement actions, and industry complaints. If issues arise, we notify the processor, initiate remediation, or pause accreditation if needed to protect the ecosystem.
